Yolo County Office of Education

Yolo County Office of Education

The California Department of Education now has an improved Dashboard that is designed to be more parent-friendly. A guide to the redesign is available here: The Dashboard's New Look

California School Dashboard Accountability System
California’s accountability system, known as the California School Dashboard, provides information about how schools and school districts throughout the state are meeting the needs of California’s diverse student population. The Dashboard contains reports about the performance of county offices of education, school districts, schools, and student groups. The system is designed to help schools and districts better evaluate what is and isn’t working while providing the public with a detailed look at academic progress.

Yolo County Office of Education's Role
Under this accountability system, county offices of education serve as resources, providing support to local school districts and helping them address deficiencies. The Yolo County Office of Education provides customized assistance to local districts, including:
  • Needs assessments, data analysis, and determination of root causes of challenges;
  • Technical assistance for district leads through training and coaching; and
  • Monitoring implementation of planned actions.

For assistance in interpreting Dashboard data—or for assistance with data analysis, research, and program evaluation—please e-mail Stan Mojsich, Assistant Superintendent.
