Background and Process:
The Transition Age Youth (TAY) Collaborative

Over the last six months, the Yolo County Office of Education has facilitated a series of convenings with over 70+ individuals representing 20+ organizations across Yolo and neighboring counties. Participants included Transition Age Youth (TAY) ages 16 to 24, educational organizations, local businesses, city & county services, and community partners were represented as the collective group participated in the following activities:
  • Sharing our hopes and dreams for Transition Age Youth in Yolo County
  • Asset mapping of Transition Age Youth focused services, opportunities, and supports
  • Analysis of collective and participating organizational strengths and gaps
  • Participation in listening circles building relationships, identifying alignment, and developing coherence
  • Analysis of the current landscape for a Transition Age Youth living in Yolo County 
  • Defining what it means for Transition Age Youth to Thrive
