The Early Childhood Education Department along with our Head Start/Early Head Start and State Preschool programs supports early care and education initiatives providing positive opportunities including play experience, kinder readiness, and primary care for all qualifying children which will allow these children to have opportunities to be successful in school and in life.  The Yolo County Office of Education Head Start/Early Head Start and State Preschool program is committed to assisting our community to raise children who are healthy and ready to learn.
